Guys
I have been the very fortunate one to have the first set of VE Sedan sills put in a car. Nick dropped them off to me today and I have just finished putting them in. Big thanks to Nick for that.
As they are slightly different to the ute because of the plastic trim they sit in (well the SS, SSV, and HSV's I believe) I thought I would show you not only the ones I got done but how I did it.
How Nick packs them

I found on the inserts that they did not have double sided tape but some kind of glue bed that the factory sills sit in. Unfortunately I therefore couldn't do the trick of cutting with fishing line to do it. I do suggest that you try first though because Nick told me the spares he got from holden for measuring came with two strips of double sided tape.
So, to get mine out, I used the tip of a srewdriver and crammed a cloth in there to protect the plastic and levered it up. It does come. Then slowly, work your way pulling it up. I recommend pushing down on the white tabs when at those points just to make sure none of them break.

What I believe the reason is this. See the white tabs. They go through the trim to the body. From what I could make out with that glue bed there, it holds the sills in and those tabs together as one whole unit. Nick sticks two continuous strips of double sided tape on the back so it should be fine.
Prior to fitting, clean it down and make sure there is no dust in there.

I'm not the greatest photographer and the light in my garage is terrible. These really do look an absoute treat and I reckon Nick is going to stuggle with demand.
Great work mate :goodjob:
