Bonnet not sitting right seems that the strut is hitting the bonnet.

i have an your not going to like that answer Pete, this is why i had to strip my VN, the shockie towers where all pushed out of wack being worst case, best case is you have a dodgy strut brace lol

When you look at the adjusting nuts one side has more threads than the other.
One would think they should be the same like the same amount of turns at both ends that right ??????????
I think it needs adjustment.
PS Pete all new front end more or less got a few bits put in.

Thanks mate.
How much adjustment is in these things?
So does that mean the thing is to long then?

panelbeater did it for me. any one with a welder and something that can cut the bracket. there was plenty of adjustment in the bar. obviously will need repainting. not painting mine suits the paintwork on the car.

They stick Blu-Tack on top of the strut then close the hood and you can see the blue marks
on the insulator where it was touching.

That will cause problems if not properly done. You need to consult representative from an auto repair shop. If you're using this type of hood struts (http://www.drivewire.com/part/body-parts/hood-struts/), I think you'll save yourself from troubles since it is exact fit.
