Awesomme Kev.
Great spread of dates and all are a weekend - yayy!!! Interspersed with the Slydewise skidpan days I do its shaping up for a fun 2010 as long as my car holds up lol. I personally like running Lakeside more than QR. ;)

that's good to see all the dates are on weekends.
I will make a serious effort to get out to at least one of these event dates. Engine is ready, axle seals sorted, and big front brakes are fitted. Just need to get some of the QFM brake pads!

I will hold you to that Darren!!!
The QFM pads are cheap, but very good, so it shouldn't take ya long to get em... Oh sheit are you going BIG Brakes as well, that lightweight of yourse will fly and pull up on a dime
I'm loading up with Bendix Street Road and Track (SRT) at the moment, just to try something different and compare - as my past two sets have been QFM. The SRTs are way more expensive than the QFM equivalent and I am yet to be convinced the $$ are worth it (very flashy packaging though), but I haven't loaded fronts with SRT yet nor tested the hard stuff of late (I've been somewhat a Miss Daisy Driver recently) so nothing to report as yet, other than the SRT are way more "dusty" than the stock pads but all high performance pads are - its just part of having better composition biased to performance.

Yup I'm keen Pete. And I've got a few months to plan for it, so I should have no excuse!
big front brakes have been on for over a month! Check out my ride thread to see them http://www.brisbanecommodore.com/bccc/showthread.php?t=153&page=3
Got some big 330mm rotors with VN Grp A twin spot calipers. Biggest I can squeeze under the 16 inch wheels. Had to get the wheel weights moved in order for the wheels to clear the calipers. Got Ferrodo pads in the front at the moment (came with the calipers) but they are crap. Heaps of brake dust, and not that impressive when it comes to braking either. I've already spoken to GSL Rallysport about the QFM pads to suit - $149 and will be ordering them within the next week or so.

Yeh mate, hopefully when it comes time to have a lash at Lakeside I will have DBA slotted rears and the SRTs fitted all round.
Bottom line for me is that the 2 ton tessie realy does need HSV or better brake package, but that is super big bikkies I simply can't offord.
