Yeh that's Garry (GHZ28). A top true blue mate of mine Darren - we both have "age" in common lol. He always comes prepared, ya never know when a car challenge may arise lol.

You met him on that Toowoomba backroads run where he linked up with us at Cunnunghams Gap. The race car was a Blue one at the time. This one is the same, road registered and legal but full of high tech go fast and handling stuff.

That red car is oh so much quicker than mine on the circuit it's unbelievable. :o

No, he was supposed to run Lakeside Raceway today but the event was cancelled at late notice, hence he decided to come along to the BCCC gig. He would be a great asset should he join up as a member, and is very knowledgable on all things cars that go fast - an honest heart of Gold and no bullshit bloke that has been a great mentor for me on the VE Luxo evolution almost since day one three years ago.

Some of when I first arrived, but got hung up with cookin Calamari and Socialising. The photos do no justice to the 1.5 Ton of seafood on hand and in the insulated boxes... :rolleyes:

Round figures me and two others counted approx 50 people at peak time!!! Not a bad turnout at all :)

That goldish/bronze coloured VE in front of mine has to be the LOWEST slung in Brisbane. I thought mine was low, but thats Nutso low by at least 20mm more than mine - well dome BJ!! Great to meet you today, hope now that you have met a few of the BCCC family we will see ya out on other cruises and events in 2010.

Ta mate, I do sincerely appreciate and value true friends that are ouside forum and performance shop polatics. "Common courtesy and simple acknowledgement" is high on my scale of who is who. Some of the stuff Garry has done for me I can never repay! But its pretty well asured that I did save his life on one ocasion at Lakeside, so a balance of professional expertise is a fascinating matrix within day to day activity. You and me are heading the same cohesivness path which is great, same with VS Pete (Oscar Bird Man) and Toowomba Darren and Glynn to name but a few.

Oi - you and me - drags, this coming saturday, don't forget dude. You will need to give me 5 seconds start with all that mega forced induction stuff you have - 450rwkw is way beyond me. The luxo is pretty much basic N/A stuff and not a drags car by any strech of the imagination (its just not my scene, hence never gone stallie and probably a 1 second improvement, but happy to play) put me on the "long haul" twiters, circuit and motorkhana is another thing altogether though.

Thanks for supporting BCCC with the Seafood today Paul. I was absolutely wowed with what you provided. Fantastic gesture. ;)

Tomato red had nothing on you at days end lol. Cooling showers and cold compresses mate. That will do the trick. Don't go putting oily creams on it. Bung an ice pack wrapped in a wet towel on your neck will help the heatstroke headache and nausea if you have those symptoms.

Hey Paul if yours is not ready in time, you are welcome to take the slow poke Calais for a run down the strip if ya want (share drivers) - whilst its no Twin Turbo V8 animal like yours, she should be solid as a rock on the day and it's simple as plant the foot and steer straight for 400 metres (oh and a steady brake effort at the end) - childs play lol.

Just bring a helmet and appropriate clothing. I don't share my helmet, took me ages to get it looking that daggy LOL.

If I get a 12.5 second ET with the full trim street weight including heavyweight 2,200 kg rated tow bar and all the Luxo Stuff which comprises a 2 ton car all up, running stock 20" wheels and daily drive road tyres running through a "Stock Holden Stallie" I would be extactic. Daily driver wifey K Mart shopping trolley mode!!!!

My best to date with previous engine, cam and lotsa mods was 12.7. The new engine with Hi Torque tune "unopened" surprisingly yeiled 12.9 and a whole bunch of 13 flat ET runs.
