The FIRST session of Slydewyse Skidpan Days is as below - eeehhaaa!!
20th March 2010:
Slydewise Skidpan Day
Roadcraft Driver Training Centre – Gympie
Miss Fits Group:
8am start
4pm finish
Car numbers have dropped to 12 cars across the board (this gives far more time to play across the full 8 hr day - rather than last years 16 car limit), and as such the price has jumped up to $165 a car.
Same service, same comps, same BBQ lunch, same drinks provided (as part of the entry price). Wayyy more time skidding!!
I do this stuff lots and is quite adictive as its a fantastic bunch of people who rock along and is awesomme fun and a lot of laughs. No. it's not hard on tyres at all - the pan is wet and slippery!!!
These events close down across the hot summer months as its just plain uncomfortable to run at this time of year....
I have been with other groups and private days at Roadcraft but Slydewyse (Aaron) has it very well sorted and a ton of fun with a couple of competition runs and prizes for top three positions based on pointscore on the day.
Hammer the ass out of your car and hang on, or have fun to your level, no probs at all. There is also a diving instructor on hand if you wish to polish up your skills and learn more. Safety does come first though, so create a hazzard, put a fellow person in danger or be a knuckle, and you will be out of action for the remainder of the day with no refund nor appology - I've seen it happen - Rules is Rules Macca!!!. I have no issue with this element.
I know the date abovementioned is a fair way off, but allows people ample time to save some $$ if needed. And these days historically fill very quickly once formally anounced.
I have conveyed that I am DEFINATE attendee at this event, so I secured my place early.
