A cam would be nice, but I've noticed some members have got huge gains for less work than I was looking at??
At the moment I was looking at extractors, 2.5" s/steel, catbacks, OTR CAI, mild cam for approx 270rwkw and '000s in cost.
If someone can recommend what and or who I should be doing/contacting I'd appreciate it very much :)
for an OTR see our club sponsor, Ziggy. He does top notch OTR's at a good price. As for everything else, i recomend another sponsor Hi Torque Performance. Between the 2 of them, they will see your car getting some nice HP.
Its endless as to what can be done. Nice exhaust,OTR, Cam, Stall. Would be a nice little setup capeable of running mid to low 12's

as ben has said speak to our sponsors as they can assist you in many ways, the feedback from members who have used ziggy and hi torque is great so would recommend them to anyone

Car is looking great. You and Kev can chew the fat about all things Calais wagons. Ziggy does great otr's as suggested. And Hi-torque can def give you some great options in power gains. We have a number of members already using.
Other than that mate don't hesitate to ask questions. This place may not have a huge display of massive hp cars (there are a few) but there are lots of very technically minded people on here who do know what they are talking about and who will set you in the right direction

man have a chat to HT about going FI
you can leave u mtr stock have stock idle stock sound but blows most any cam only car away.
i.e. Im doing FI on my stock LS1 and it will make what it makes but we are hoping for 450rwhp not to bad :)
and no one will ever know u have that much power under the hood

That will get you 270++ at the rears. More likely aapproaching 300rwkw or 415rwhp. An ISKY 224/230 with its massive lift rate based on 114 LSA is a great daily drive even with a Stock Stallie, but pulls around 300 kw at the rears when punted along, yet it's oh so very predictable and linear, with none of the turbo lag and associated heat issues as increased stressors as a result of a turbo/FI.
My only advice/caution is to be aware that the A6 is not designed to manage huge hp even though with FI its now easy to achieve. Having destroyed my first L98 engine and an A6 to date, I know one of my most valuable additions atm is having two in line trans coolers that are additional to the through the radiator one that is standard kit on our cars. Its not a power addition but certainly good insurance if you run hard. With the Tune you will be able to massively improve the shifts and responsiveness of your A6. Early in 2010 I will be putting an engine oil cooler with its own dedicated fan in.
Kent and the Hi Torque Team will do you well - I am very happy with the stuff they have done on mine. I will be down there Thursday 3rd December getting the Harrop Tru Trac mechanical LSD fitted. I'm happy to further discuss my highs and lows in VE development but Kent is across most of them on my part.
Enjoy the journey dude -its full on fun.

She sounds awesome and goes just as well!!
Here's a before and after clip, excuse the undecided cam focus and the excited kids in the second vid
