Well, I've been in to see Kent at Hi Torque today and they hooked the Monaro up with some 3.9 diff gears. All I can say is "why did I wait so long to do it?" It has certainly put some life back into the car and made it fun to drive, even chirps changing into second. As a bonus I always had a slightly annoying drone from the exhaust at about 70-80 k's which has now gone due to revs changing at that speed, the drone is still slightly present at a lower speed, but not so noticeable.
Now I just need to convince the missus of the "benefits" of a cam upgrade ..:)
Thanks Kent and Hi Torque for a job well done.

Hey Mark, well done!!! How does it drive? Does it affect your economy on the highway? Does it rev higher?

Mate it drives great, off the line is pretty good, haven't done too many k's on the highway since I had them put in but the fuel economy isn't too bad. At 100k's it revs at about 2300 rpm which is about 400 revs higher than before, not too bad..

Yeh Adam slipping way sideways in 2nd then running a good tyre slip in 3rd is awesomme. I went from 2.92 up to 3.4 then 3.7 but wouldn't recommend any higher in an auto - A6.

Many on LS1 forum say 3.4 is optimal. Not to my mind and experience, 3.7 is a schweet spot even with cam and stuff...
