I think I just Figured Out the E2 Look

Hi All,

Due to playing quite a lot of Forza 3 lately and booting around in the Pontiac G8 I was just looking at an E2 front end and I think they made it look like it does because of an absolute bucket-load of left over bonnet's for the G8 exports not that Pontiac is no more....The difference between the G8 and the E2 is very little to none. The front bar looks very similar aside from that rear bar is the only new thing.... What do you all think.....Have we been given left overs? And was the designer asleep when he was working?

Chris, you are opening up a massive debate on this one. This debate has been huge on LS1.

You are correct. The bonnets are left over from the G8's. This is simply because there was excess left over. Holden themselves will be using some on a special edition SSV which essentially will use G8 bumpers, be available in three colours (black red and blue) and in Wagon sedan and ute.

The E2 bonnet is the same and they have had to design the bumper arounf the nostril at the front of the bonnet. This is why there is lttle infill pieces just above the grille.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the daytime running lights as I think they are a bit bright but and initially I hated the car but the more and more I see one the more they are growing on me.
