At the moment my i'm looking at painting some of my engine bay components/ plastics (ABS Cover, Fuse box cover, power steering reservoir(spelling?), tappet covers, distribution block and idle pulley) and chroming a few other things(power steering pulley, alternator, fuel injection rail)
what paint is best for engine components/ plastics?
what engine components should i stay clear of painting?
what would be the best way to go about chroming? Alternator is my main concern there..
Cheers, Kev

when i painted my rocker covers, strut brace ends, top tank and washer bottle. i used VHT high temp paint.
the trick is all in the prep work, i used some wax and grease remover and thourghtly cleaned evey part that i was to paint. i let it dry for about 30 mins. wh
when i painted those parts i used very light coats and take your time. i rushed my thermo fan and it turned out crap.
