can anyone help. my vt clubsport has a radio cassette cd player. i want to change it to the 10 cd stacker that the vx r8 clubsport uses. first are they a straight swap. second does anyone have one or know of anyone who might have one for sale. my previous experience is turning them on and off

Thats a good question. The VT and VX Aerpro harness is the same part number, so that would suggest the plug isn't different. The stacker makes its connection to the headunit via it's own cable. I've never seen an R8 stock stereo, but as long as it's double din like the one your taking out it should be ok.

Just remember to get and update the radio pin in the manual. lol.

You will want to get a coathanger and cut it in half and bend it into 2 "U" shapes so you can stick one into each side of the headunit, then push them in to eject/release/uncouple the headunit, then its just a matter of unplugging the aerial, factory plug and pulling it out. Easy.

Where ever the stacker is to go, you will need to re-run the cable from the headunit to stacker, so that might be more of a mission for you. lol.

Disconnect the battery before you touch the wiring!.... I blew my stock headunit by wiggling the plug into position.... it went zit..zat then wouldn't turn on hahahah
I then went straight to a single din Alpine cd player that fits 110 mp3z per cd and haven't looked back since! Im not saying thats what you should do, as I imagine you want to keep it stock looking, but the improvement over stock was more than welcome!

thanks for your help. i rang the guy and have sent him the money. should arrive within a few days. I won't have any problem fitting it as I won't be touching it. the unit is complete including the code.not to keen having the stacker in the boot but would rather keep it semi original

i got a 6 stacker in my boot, not to bad, gives me over 6 hours of music,

just gotta change the CD's every few weeks
