bit of an update on the ol girl

- new front shocks ( again :mad: )

need to replace now -

- Valve springs ( got a nasty lazy one lol )
- needs rear main done, tappet covers done, inlet manifold gasket done
- new tail lights
- mayby a new steering rack :(

new tunes woot! ( well have to wait till friday to get the commodore plug ) yaaay no more radio :D, biggest pain in the arse is mounting it in there, all these screw holes in the side of the headunit but nowhere to screw through on the VS :rolleyes:, have made up a few dodgy brackets ( flogged the sides off my radio/tape please that was in there so i could use thoes mounts :D )

yeh im only using a plug cause im to lazy to hard wire it up lol, only a cheapie head unit ( $149 ) but was suprised it came with the AUX plug, later on down the track when i get a few subs and amps ill upgrade to a MP3 player, but this will do for now, my tape player died yesterday and my radio was on its way out haha

Update: Lost Brakes yesterday on the way home ( just got onto the highway from morayfield comming home from the car show, had to brake with the hand brake :sweating: ) pedal went to the floor and stayed there, fixed today with a new diafram, new gaskets, and a new master cylinder, brakes are still shit but at least they work now :)

yeh mate did a flush front an back after i replaced the parts, i dont leave anything to chance when it comes to my anchors lol, and no i dont need a spare rim, i cant even give these ones away! hahahaha

just cut the top off the CAI, noticed the other day on the cruise at full pedal it was squishing up and struggling for air, not very clean at the moment but ill clean it up better when i have time ( read: when i could be f**ked ), took it for a drive this arvo and holy hell what a difference! throttle responce is awsome now! :thumbs up:

just got back from Tint mart, best $199 iv spent this year i think :) lol, UV advantage T35 is the tint ( im so sick of being sun burnt in summer ) didnt turn out to bad i think :), no stuffing around from these guys either, rang this morning to book it in and he says bring it down, 2hrs later i drive away lol

new whiteline strut brace fitted :) ( and yes Derek, this is to stop my struts from falling off :p ) i was gobsmacked as to how much of a difference it made just doing a little squirt around the streets, front of the car feels a whole lot more comfortable :)

just replaced the rocker cover gaskets, all in good time to the pass side came out in 2 peices and the drivers side came out in 8 lol new orange ACL gaskets in now :)

dam tootin :bouncing: next on the list is that dam intake manifold gasket ( its leaking oil and water at the same time :sweating: ) and Darren an i have found its the reason it idle's like a tractor :)

the VS is looking real tidy Pete & the new exhaust should give it a nice note. Are you going to fit a resonator ? V6's really need one ;)

Hopefully the idle problems will be resolved when you get that intake leak sorted.

was going to but i think ill let the exhaust settle in first an decide, its pretty quiet at cruising speed at 50kph-60-80-100 and 110, only get drone when im doing doing about 30 - 35, and yes i hope this idle problem gets fixed soon :(, but on a plus note with the new exhaust it sounds like i got a cam :D :bouncing:

last few weeks iv heard a soft metallic rattle comming from inside the car, got me friged as to what it was but never got around to sorting it out, in traffic today it gave me the shits so i pulled over at a servo an found my rear pass side door pin was comming out :sweating:, hit it back in, rattle gone :) ( thankfully i got to it before the bloody door fell off :eek: )
