whats your fuel economy like?

How many km's do you get out of a tank of fuel?

How big is your tank?

I used to get around 600km's on a tank in my VY wagon.

I got about 400km's before the fuel light came on in my VS.

And now i get about 580km's before the fuel light comes on in the VR,

the VR is alot better on fuel than what the VS was, maybe it's the manual that makes a difference?

mine averages 9.5-10L/100km on a highway run. Just steady cruising at 100-110kph. 63L tank, so I guess that works out around 600kms to a tank (highway). 80L tank going in soon, would be nice to get up to 800kms between fills on a big trip.

Not sure what it gets around town, as I usually only take it out on the highway these days. It used to be terrible on fuel around town, but since the tune it's improved heaps though.

I usually get 450 out of the VS's before fuel light.(dpending on fuel - can get upto 520 from E10)

I get 590 out of the 120L LPG tank on the fleet car.

The old EFI 202 68ltr tank on a good day 300km's to a tank or around town maybe 200km's to a tank and thats on 98 fuel :D Gotta love the old car's

I replaced both my o2 sensors and Coolant Temp Sensor, when I fill up I get a reading from between 780 to 980km to go, out of a 75L tank.
I've never worked it out, but its improved... I would guesstimate about 450-600km from 75L.

One thing worth noting is how much extra fuel goes in when the nozzle thinks your cars full...when I fill up and think the tanks full, its not, I always seem to get another 3-5 litres of fuel in before it is completely full.

actually I meant to say 10-10.5L/100km. But yeah it's not bad for a modified 5L. I'm satisfied with it.

i think my gas tank is a 60L 1, (only costs me $30 to fill from dead empty) i get just over 300kms, i dont run it on petrol much so no idea what its like economy wise. thats in the VS.

with the vn, i reckon i could get 600kms maybe even more.
the way i worked that out was it only used a 15L to get from birkdale to warwick with the twin throlte bodies, 4.11 diff gears and a full car load of people sitting at 100kp/h on the hwy.
