As most of you know, I'm a lazy ass. I spied this Meguires motorcycle cleaner and rekkened that the whole gig is prone to being covered in dust and dirt being a cycle.
Hmmm, I applied the thinking to engine and engine bay cleaning. Fawwk it doesn't get much easier and really does work. Just spray it on and hose off - awesomme result.

Nah, you know me Adam - lazy bastard.
I just squirted the foam over literally everything, then hosed it off - It Stipulates, DON'T LET THE PRODUCT DRY ON THE SURFACES.
Yeh I've done it about 5 times now. Starts first time every time, sometimes it will be a bit sluggish for about a kilometer, but is really quick to get back to full herbs. But then again I have never given it time to fully dry out prior to starting the engine (suppose you should really let it dry out first). It even brings the plug leads back to almost new look.
**** Degreaser products definately fawwks the look of the aluminium bits - hence I will never use that again.
These Meguires and Liqui Molly dudes sure have some great stuff. Fantastic that they are sponsors of BCCC.
PS
If you want your engne stuff to look super clean and friggen fantastic, after you have cleaned it with the Bike stuff, spray the engine with Meguires Tyre Shine - the stuff in a pressure pack (I will suss the propper name as it's in the boot of my car). Fawwk it looks schmick - a mate of mine who is a detailer does this to his for special ocasions.

Might give it a whirl. I can get the outside looking a million bucks but the engine bay always suffers. And I have to admit that the recent storm activity hasn't helped.

Ok Pete
I bought the stuff yesterday and will do it also.
The only tyre shine in a pressure pack (aerosol) was a foam. Is this correct?
CalaisRider

No the tyre shine is not foam. Its in a Black aerosol can - Killer Shine I think its called. Bear with me I will edit in five and tell ya what the exact stuff is
HOT SHINE TYRE COATING is the name - therya go.
I use it occasionally to clean my wheels as ol mate Mecedes Benz "detailer" does same to his VE SS-V - not bad at all; dunno how it goes on Black wheels but shit it blings with Silver ones.
A multi purpose product from Meguires that is awesomme in the real world.
Be prepared Adam, if you use both products on the engine it ceratainly becomes show and shine material.

Hi Pete,
Do you spray everything or just plastics?
CalaisRider

Hi Pete,
Do you spray everything or just plastics?
Nah Pete, from what I have seen of ol mates engine bay he sprays everything with it. It brighten ups and shines everything. Sure it will burn off the headers and super hot stuff but the rest of it seems to stick and looks awesomme.
Only reason I don't use it on my engine very often is that I'm not really into show and shine and bling. Just offering some advice that may be useful to those that are.
Adam its the second link one you posted up

Hell no, neither would I.
Sounds like the product you bought was more of a Tyre Cleaner.

Got myself some of this EZY Clean and going to hit the bay this weekend. My bay is stock looking bar removal of the turtle shell.
It's a little dirty in there!

Ok so this EZ Clean is the SHIZ people! Get to it there is no excuse to have a dirty engine bay!
I did put plastic bags over the exposed electricals and used the Karcher and wow! It looks amazing!!
Apart from not being able to get some bits painted today (no painters available today :no no no:) it looks good in there. I've also polished the underside of the bonnet to give it bit more of a sparkle.
:panting:
Outstanding product. Thanks again Meguiars and Pete for mentioning it. I've always looked over the product on the shelf but she's a stayer now!
