:)

Just a bit of feedback on the Liqui Molly products.

I stumbled onto these products about six mths ago… Have been using it since that time and I am very happy with the results. I use the following:

Engine Protect product at each service interval

Once a month I put in a can of Fuel Injector Cleaner

And now that the cost/price of the Speed Tec has come down significantly, I throw a can of this product in periodically where I feel it may be useful.

My engine has always had a slight tappet noise which annoys me. Yesterday I threw two cans of Tappet Stop Noise (I was a tad sceptical). Well bugger me, this stuff did wonders for my car. I loaded it into the engine then did a run to the Gold Coast – the difference is fantastic.

I’m not saying it will work for all cars but it sure did for mine. I will be continuing to use all of the products abovementioned in my L98. Good gear I rekken.

Yeah I have only used the Speed Tec stuff once and at the time was only going to be a one off due to the cost ($30) but now that it's about $19 I might start using it again.

The one time I did use it was the week leading up to Dyno Day.

I have to admit that I probably did feel a slight sit of pants improvement but overall effect it's hard to say.

Might try Pete's method above and see how we go. Were you getting that tappet noise at start up?

Yeh mate I was getting tappet noise at startup but could hear it at slow speed and also echoing off the other cars when pulled up at stop lights. I've just come home from a run down the shops - yep very happy with it.

mine being an older motor cops a floggin every now an then ( good ol emotec V6's - made to flog hahaha ) but yeh was previously running GTX2 in it, then advised to dump the crap oil ( my teacher/boss tells me as castrol is prone to cloggin up motors and stuff ), with the GTX 2 i had a fair amount of tappet noise ( would take a 5min warm up and 1k of drivin before the loud tappet noise was gone ), dumped the GTX2 out, gave it abit of a flush, put penrite HPR30 in it with a container of Liqui Moly Tappet Stop Noise, i dont even get tappet noise on start up now

I bought the injector cleaner yesterday and put it in but haven't driven anywhere yet. I was going to get the tappet one as well but they had none where i was

How often are you going to do the tappet one

every oil change

Yup thats my plan too.:)

Going High Volume Oil Pump and PWR engine oil Cooler in a couple of weeks as well. Just a safety net, not needed unless you run hard for "extended durations" of time and confonting reasonably large G Forces throughout (surge issues).
