Hi all, my performance shop are hosting a Dyno day for some holden clubs on the Sunshine coast this Saturday coming.
I will be attending, although not putting the car on the rollers due to oil weaping into the exhaust housing.
Torque n' Tune
Caloundra rd Caloundra
I will be taking off from the north side at about 9:30am, welcome to meet others wanting to come along, not mention those that are wanting to meet a good shop for some work later down the track; I am happy to introduce.
cheers
Paul

I'll check on how I'm travelling in the diary for next Saturday. I wouldn't mind coming for a looksee (mine is not ready for the dyno atm - tad more tweaking still to be done). I have a great mate at Pelican Waters, it would be a good opportunity to drop in and see him and family on the same day. :)
Sorry to digress just a little, but just looking through your sinature enhancements - are your 100cpi cats metal substate?

AWWE SHEIT PAUL YOUR MAKING IT TOUGH "NOT" TO BE THERE - I can't resist seafood. Thanks for the offer, I would love to see your business and how things are done. Strange as it may seem I have a heap of questions I would like to ask on the topic. Just by the weight and hardness of shell of picking up the crabs and Bugs in the seafood tray I won today I know the buggers are full as... Top stuff.
Okays, I'm in. Locked and loaded into my diary for Sunny Coast Dyno Day!!!
I have the Somerset Dam cruise the following day Sunday 25th October. This should be a fabulous cruise with great roads, great scenery and great destination. Its not one that I organised but should be a top fun day. ;)

where is the dyno day? Any more details?
Its held at Torque n' Tune, Which is located on the right hand side, as you drive into caloundra, Its next to a servo, pretty much the first groups of buildings that u will come to. and if u get to bunnings you have gone too far. When you come down the big hill leading into caloundra, u will go through a round about, its less then a Kay on the right hand side. If u go through the first set of lights, u have gone too far

Brad its in the first post.
Not sure of the number on Caloundra Rd, but I will be following Paul, assuming he knows where his Performance Shop is lol.
Tis shittin me that my tune is not finalised as I would like to throw the Calais on the rollers. The engine is making 294rwkw even with the power sucking A6 atm, but is still pulling big power as the ECU shuts it off at around 6,200. The cam is likely to be making power to 6,700 so unfortunately I am way short of its potential atm. Despite being below max power potential the Auto driven Calais still spins 1st, 2nd and 3rd at launch.
Hi Torque is getting things sorted. Should have a heap of other stuff in the VE within the next two weeks. Nice and solid to cope with extended duration full bore running rather than simply a couple of 400 metres sprint of around 12 seconds.

Was a great morning event.
Thanks to Ben for finding a Mini size car spot for the luxo, but we squeezed it in.
The event was very well organised with the cars coming on and off the rollers like I used to roll Jaffas down the isle at the movies in the old days. :D
Thanks too to Paul for making me feel at home and giving me some of the history of a few of the cars on site. I loved the tour of your Seafood Emporium mate, nice to meet your wife as well. You have it all very well sorted, clean crisp, neat and tidy with some very tasty and even some somewhat rare seafood on offer. Thanks for the cooking and serving tips as well. Took a bit of re-organising the fridges and freezers at home to make room for the smorgasboard I bought - nice price mate. ;)
I returned home from Caloundra via Maleney, Booroobin, Woodford, Mt Mee, Dayboro and Petrie. A very nice scenic mountain run which was super enjoyable and relaxing. :)
I forgot the exact figures Paul. Is your car 450 rwkw and a 10 second car?
.
i got roughly 70 Photo's from today.... Uploading the good ones now :D will post when im done
pete, did paul take u into my freezer :D

LOL Pete, was good drive and chat as per usual mate.
yes good set up and the dyno day just got better with some very tough commodores and some old school holdens on the rollers.
However the big news was not my car, but however PETE'S.
When i came home the wife said QUOTE(what is in Pete's car, it sounds great)UNQUOTE.
No word of a lie Pete, LOL; i told you it sounds tuff under load.
Now why would you want to change that exhaust???????????
anytime on the feed mate.
where the pic's Benny
cheers
pics are still coming, im in the process of minimizing them. I took them on a different setting today which came out awesome, but also made each pit huge...So making them smaller to upload. im about 3/4 the way through it, been going at it for an hour now. lol

Yeh it's nice and quiet inside the car too. Only reason I'm changing is that because of all the high rpm work for extended durations that I do from time to time I have split and cracked the front pipe and muffler and it's been welded/repaired beyond belief. Its only from the Cats exit, front pipes and Muffler that crack, the cooler ass end stuff is fine. I have asked around many sorst shops and it's just the nature of SS in the way it expands and contracts.
It's a 2.5 inch Mr Muffler (Sumner Park) F1 system with Pacemaker Headers and I'm hopeing Mal can get me a Mild steel version of same. Mal emailed me that the Muffler in mild steel will have to be hand made as a one off (apparently the mass produced ones are all stainless) - the secret is in the F1 technical formula "spirals", that they have on the interior of the muffler which exponentially increase flow - hence not a simple product to replicate. If the price is within reason, I will do same again only mild steel.
Oh and I want to go 4 inch 100cpi Ballistic Cats and 3 inch cats back this time around to try and move the heat and gasses through more quickly. I don't drive it hard as frequently as I used to, so things should be fine once done.
:)
