The below is from my early memories of BCCC when I first joined. Its amazing that the picture has a huge line of BCCC cars stretching across the hill in the background "as far as the eye you can see". I have a couple of others of the day that I took with my camera and will post em when I find em.

The trophies have improved since there days, but there's nothing like the personal touch.

Seems that this big cruise number was on Australia Day. Consistently big turnouts on that date.

Yeh it's always remained that way with good turnouts most of the time. Depending on the event there is often between 10 and 30 cars. Just that that section of road in the first shot did highlight the number of cars along on that day.

Some more recent ones

A Car Club is only as stong as the people who support it by actually getting out and about.

For whatever reason (unbeknown to me) getting people to rock up to fun cruises and events of any substance is becoming increasingly difficult.

I'm open to any and all criticism or feedback as to what is required and persue whatever elements people want to have occur. I can't do much more than that as a simple Club Member; but I do want to see this club "out there" and "active" and "successful".

Can someone/anyone define the issues so the club can be realigned and have reignited enthusiasm? Even if its something as simple as to do with me personally, just say so. Its all about better meeting the needs and wants of club members. All feedback will be taken on board.

To my mind the BCCC "forum" is only a miniscule element of what a car club is all about. Thats why my calendar is chockers with events, cruises and motorsport on a personal level; I just do what I do which is pretty busy; and know that tomorra I may be dead, so I make the most of the days as they come about. But I certainly don't understand at all why the BCCC group don't get out and about on weekends and events more frequently.

PS
This is certainly "not" a rant, just info seeking as to WHY. I'm simply curious!!!

I think its quite at the moment due to the silly season...

Events like Aust day ect are always a big day....at the moment i think its things like fuel prices and work commitments that effect ppls ability to attend.

At the moment I amd working on an easter event but more info will be up once the details are finalised. This will be a big day and will be one of the best days on the 2010 calender so far.

I know i will be working my hardest to make 2010 the best year for BCCC, we are now heading into a new decade and we want to start on a high.

Agreed mate. Pete, I am very much a fan of big cruises as you know but I simply think the christmas/new years period is causing some issues.

The same old people are still on here over this period but the next week or two will see most people back on line.
