Yeh, Barry (Evo) was looking after it as a BCCC Event. I have absolutely no idea on its current status though.

I'm doing Slydewise Skidpan Day at Gympie this coming Saturday 10th October - these guys have the whole gig very well sorted and is quite professional. You can run your car as hard as ya want so long as you adhere to a few basic and reasonable safety rules.

They hold two separate timed "shootout competitions" during the day which is everyone vieing for for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes as a combined score with some formula to sort the difficulty of each course (quickest time wins). Plus they have a B.B.Q and drinks as part of entry. :):):)

Runs from 8am to 4pm thats a heap of time and fun. This coming Saturday is the last one for the year as it gets way too hot and humid at the pan from here through February - its friggen Heat Stroke Turf and no fun when its that hot. I've been at the last three they have put on (generally held once a month).

Awesomme day imo. Even with running my single spinner diff atm

Yeh Kev no probs whatsoever. I'd love a few of the BCCC gang along.

Please bear in mind that I will never again try to organise one for BCCC alone as history reveals that BCCC people say they are "in" and definate goers, but when it comes time they either pull out or won't pre-pay - which only seves to reflect very badly on me and my credibility with the Venue People!!! Bugger that, its a hell of lot of work that requires commitment many months in advance; and I'm not forking out hundereds of $$ for the shortfall of people not effectively commiting nor paying. Tis no place for "wanna be's"

This was a very tough lesson for me to learn about skidpan and BCCC on numerous previous ocasions; and quite disppointing to say the least.

Hence why I branched out and "lined up" a few good mates to participate in Slydewise on a regular basis. At least they paid for their own stuff, and was a small circle of rev-heads friends havin fun in a legal environment that were committed, with very little if any focus on the "cost" of the day. Lets face it $120 for 8 hrs of hooning fun, professional guidance and driver training at the ready, plus a B.B.Q and drinks laid on is really good value

I was up at Slydewise skidpan day last weekend a fantastic fun day as usual.

I was told that they are going to change the format where the skylines will have skidpan days of their own; and there will be another setup for Holdens/Commodores, V8s, Forced Induction Supra's ect. The only good thing I see in this is that the organiser of the Holden Skidpan Days is a long time mate of mine so I will be in on the ground floor.

I likesd doing the Shootout Comps and beating the Forced Induction Skylines with the Commodore Barge lol; but in reality they were a great bunch of people and I will miss them.

I will post when the next sessions are on and in what format. The next ones won't be till next year though. It gets stinking hot and almost unbearably uncomfortable at Roadcraft in summer.
