Hi all.
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness month. At some stage in our lives, we will know of someone who has or is battling with this disease.
As a Club, we can help to make a difference. I have set up this funddraising page for BCCC: http://pcfafundraising.org.au/brisbane_commodore_car_club.
I am putting together ideas for fundraising for this fantastic Charity and welcome any ideas from our members, financial or not and request that everyone gets on board. PLEASE GIVE US A HAND.
Please get on board, let your friends know about the donation page and anyone can donate to this cause.
Over the coming weeks I'll let you all know about events we as a Club will tie into this cause.
Looking forward to your support.

Hi all.
For the Prostate Cancer Fundraiser, I was thinking we could do a cruise up through Mt Tamborine. Quite a nice area for sights and a group photo and also family friendly.
I'll put some concrete ideas together over the coming days but if everyone can let me know what weekends in September are going to suit that would be appreciated.
I'll be out of town on the weekend 16th - 19th but am more than happy to organise a cruise or event for that period if that is the best date for everyone.
So throw up some dates people and i'll get some ideas flowing and also with your input we can make this something that everyone wants to get involved in. It is after all the people of the Club that make it enjoyable.
Cheers,
Scott

24th / 25th I would suggest.
The weekend before your away, and the weekend before that 10th / 11th is powercruise.

Who is attending Power Cruise this years guys?
If we can establish who won't be attending Powercruise, we may be able to run a BCCC event in parallel? Doesn't matter how many we get. We can also leave the Mt Tamborine event for October and the Breast Cancer Fundraiser.
I know it is going to be difficult to get events set up that will not collide with other major events that BCCC members want to attend and that is expected.
We'll make something work I'm not going to give up! :)

Sounds like the go mate. I've got to get out of a function on the 24th which should be no problem so the 24th is looking like the best option for the cruise then we can head to GM roundup on 25th.

Ok guys and gals.
We are currently in the planning stages of a Fundraising Cruise for the 24th September for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
Suggest meeting at Springwood Maccas, cruising up to Mt Tamborine where we will have a meet and greet session and some down time to mingle and chat, then off to the Gold Coast for another down time session with some activites for the members and kids - such as cricket, egg and spoon races etc.
Details are still being finalised but if everyone could please advise their interest in attending that would be great.
We do have the GM Roundup the next day so if possible and depending on how everyone feels we may kick off the Tambo Cruise by 8am and finish up by 3 pm allowing everyone time to get home and relax/clean their cars for the next days event.
Couple of big days I know but I'd really like to see some attendance to this event as BCCC has been registered with the Prostate Cancer Foundation as an official fundraiser.
We'll be setting a minimum "donation" to attend the cruise/BBQ so please get on board and assist this great cause. If anyone requires a tax receipt please donate online at http://pcfafundraising.org.au/brisbane_commodore_car_club
Thanks
Scott
