When I was looking around for my clubby the first thing I was going to do was put a half decent stereo in it. Then I found this VZ and bought it and listened to the stereo in it only to discover that the standard system wasn't half bad so I didn't bother changing it.

i noticed that with my VS, the stereo isnt half bad so i just put a CD player in it, later found out through holden that the equipe's received the upgraded stereo system ( no idea what was up graded thou lol ) but im continually being asked what sub do i have ( in which i dont have one lol )

Josh K

Yeah and if your gonna put a sub in you have to change the headunit, works crap off the stock headunit. One of the first things I did with my VZ was top of the range alpine headunit, Alpine Type R Splits in front, 6" in the back, Twin 12" Alpine Type R Subs, 4 channel alpine amp, Alpine Monoblock, goes more than good enough for me.

yeh at this stage im keeping the factory unit and when the funds allow amp the front splits and door speakers. i know its like doin it twice but i just cant afford to amp the speakers at this stage. i tryed my best to work them down on the price but nope couldnt go any better.....

ive listened to a few subs running off the standard h/u and seemed alrite. time will tell......

I have recently had one put on my old car. A lot smaller than your one Josh. Mine is about 100 mm x 75 mm. Apparently is big enough for the job.
