:)
I was thinking of doing another Golf Day
Just gauging interest at this stage
Proposed Date - SUNDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2009.
The day will comprise of a cruise up through Mt Tamborine, down through Mt Nathan, then on through Numinba Valley and left up to Springbrook. From Springbrook we will take the magically scenic and very twisty road down to Mudgeeraba. Boomerang Farm Golf Course is off this road just off to the left as you are approaching Mudgeeraba.
Depending on how much people are enjoying it, we can do 9 or 18 holes. With some lunch and refreshment at the clubhouse.
This time the Venue will be:
Boomerang Farm Golf Course
54a Johns Rd Mudgeeraba QLD 4213 - map

The Boomerang Farm Golf Course is away from the hustle and bustle. It’s unique and peaceful with kangaroos throughout the course
.
Located in the Gold Coast Hinterland with semi tropical surroundings and a variety of wildlife.
The course was originally a dairy farm before becoming a tourist attraction where people could throw boomerangs and experience other rural activities. Eleven years ago it became a golf course and it has continued to thrive in its sub tropical environment.
Enjoy the beauty of this golf course in the hinterland haven, 20 minutes from the beach. Come on out and enjoy the atmosphere then soak up the rustic charm of our licensed clubhouse built in 1902.
Hire clubs and pull or motorised buggies available.
Social groups discounts (16 or more players).
Length: Nine-hole course, 18 different tees. Men: 4750m (par 67); Women: 4338m (par 69).
Accessibility: Social play seven days a week. Motorised buggy hire. Licensed snack bar.
Overview: Lovely little nine-holer with an unusual local rule that applies a two-stroke penalty for hitting one of the many kangaroos on the course.
Pick of the bunch: 18th hole, one of the 3 par fives at 425m, bounded by a creek on one side a large lush trees on the other.
Plus there’s the 17th, a 146 metre par 3, elevated and bounded by pine trees on each side and a postage stamp sized green built into the side of a hill.
Location: 54A Springbrook Road, Mudgeeraba
Drive through Mudgeeraba, only a 20 minute trip inland from the coast, 5 km along the Springbrook Road turn right at the Boomerang Farm sign. You can't miss it!
Phone: 07 5530 5231
Boomerang Farm Golf Club is a semi-private golf course however limited opportunities exist for non-members to play.
9 hole golf course at Mudgeeraba just off Springbrook Road.
