Bummer that I was ON CALL and couldn't get there, but all hail that there ARE other colours out there rather than BLACK.

The direction BC "appears" to be travelling, you would be forgiven for thinking BLACK is BLACK is the only avenue to fit the popularity stakes.

Oh, and there are many commodore models that don't fit into the VE category too. Thank gawwd for that, or it would be a bloody boreing world. I remember the days when I was the only VE owner in the BC club (VE was released in 2006 and my car is a 2006 model), some loved VE some hated em at the time, but more the point it was a time "that I will "never" forget the masses of friendships and fun times we had in them bygone days". Reason being is that it didn't matter what type of Commodore you had, it was all about being out and about and havin fun as a group.

End of Soap Box - just my opinion on it all.

Paul was ok past that point :) let him tell that story LOL.

But then had some tyre rubbing issue's while I was following him, like I hadnt smelt enough rubber all weekend :p

Ben turned up with a jack and tyres as I left, so sure all good

Yuppers I was wondering today how many would fail the testing. Big events such as this always drag QPS and Dept Transport along!!! I recall shittin myself at a few big events cause of the scruitineering...

+1 , who gives a crap what colour a persons car is ... Pete we do hang a bit of crap on the black cars ( because we can ), and as to what model , again who gives a crap.... If your referring to the black car photo shoot , yep it is a bit exclusive but its being done for a specific look... from what I see the BCCC is getting stronger by the day with more new people joining and if they have black cars then so what...

I just hope the Perth club Im looking at has as many good people as BCCC

sorry if you dont want to hear this but ...

Lets leave the black VE thing alone for another post.

VN SS GRP A = crap.........oops another thread as well:devil:

POWERCRUISE is the thread.
1. huge thanks to Ben and Lance for all there help over the 4 days. The boys are welcome in my car any day.
2. Dave "370HSSV"the human spareparts carrier TOP bloke and great car driving with you around QR in that torquie clubby was an eye opener, man that car throws you in the seat, the BACK seat..........COOL....:headbang:
hope to see you around the club more often. ASSHOLE...LOL
3. Brad VE SS, great to see you again mate and your looking good, now get that BLOODY VE MONSTA back out, cant wait for Friday. And as stated best part you ever brought that hose clamp...........:)

Guys what a weekend, were are you's all, well the chain of events.

Thursday, set up day, all is going well, dave got us a great site near the garages across from hi-torque.

Friday first cruise session
we started with pursuit rims and man did we have some fun 4th gear 200km/ph and side ways in doing so. We then done and over rev while wheel spining and popped the dipstick up, end of cruise.
Friday second session
We have raced a few tough cars and the clubby held more than its own, alot more even with wheel spinning every gear. But the intercooler pipe comes loose"i blame Ben" end of cruise.

Saturday first session
Cold morning but ready for the day ahead as we also where of to Willowbank to race the car and get the ullusive 10's pass. back out with the slicks this time to have some serious runs and test a few of these big blown and imports out. The car lost most of its wheel spin thank god Ben and Lance will say"bit scary with stockies" but blu a intercooler pipe off after 3 laps "i blame Ben".
second session
With 4 in the car as we cruised with an ex BCCC person, the clubby come to life, racing and smashing some seriously tough cars. At one stage doing
220km down the back straight with some very tuff and respectable cars and near smashing into a barrier"lucky i was in front and swerved left to miss it". the boys then rushed off to the toilet for a quick break and we cooled the car down for the afternoon session at willowbank drags.

The drags
boys this was it, the 10's night..................:bouncing:
we drove the car from QR to willowbank set up with front runners and the slick"good call?"
drove straight past the coppers on the side pulling people over.....
first pass
just wanted to have a shake down to test the new tyre combo out, and that the car was going to run true and straight, let me tell you guys doing 240km p/h over 400m odd, and the cars not running straight, im headed for the toilets its MAD . So we have a very easy pass short shifted 1st and 2nd gear to 5500rpm then 6500rpm in 3rd, 4th 5200rpm across the line, at 11.4@136mph"great mph" with the car loosing power at about the 360m mark. No issue clean pass now ignored the lights going funny. Got into the staging lane and was now going to lean on the car and shift at 6600rpm thru all gears, was preped for a 5000rpm launch.
CAR WOULDN'T start, alternator shit itself first pass.
we then proceeded to drive the car at night, no lights back to camp QR, oncoming cars the old bit, IDIOTS.
So that night we rip the alternator out "god knows why Dave ASSHOLE did not have one? ":cigar:
Ben and Lance then drove back home to caboolture and slept the night. in the morning retreiving a new one and returning to powercruise to re fit and have one more cruise session on Sunday afternoon.

Last cruise session
Now the car is back together just in time for the last session. But waitting in the staging lane, no boost "due to pulling it aprt to change the alternator", i am now like crazy re-doing the e-boost piping to figure out why no boost before we hit the track, i changed it to what i thought but had no idea if it worked. All the hard work and no boost....... We then roll onto the track i bring the car to 2nd gear hitting the track the car lifts smoke reeling from the slicks YES,,,,,,,,,,,,:bouncing:
best session all weekend we raced and skided every where and again dominating the runs we had "excepted for the occassional 2nd to 3rd gear miss "i blame Ben" what a great session hey Ben. We run some very cool cars and also where being videod in doing so........very cool session.

we then pack it away for the end of the cruise. We then find out the cops have set up outseide QR and are defecting anything that moves. That pisses me off we do the right thing get of the streets and then they crucify us............they just lost my respect......
Any way, a wise man once told me you can do anything with just 2 things.
time & money i had time so i could wait them out.....
or
I had money :mobile:
So i paid a towey $100 to tilt tray me to the Mobil garage up the road passed the coppers and into the safety of F@#%^#@ Karma............:thumbs up:

ALL up guys great 4 days, will have some snaps and some video footage as it comes.
Next year let's get more motivated and on board you will not regret it. Guy i would have taken all for a cruise you don't have to have the wheels to love and live it at these events just particapate.........:headbang:

Sounds like an action packed weekend Paul..The car sounds like it's a beast when it's all hooked up..Pity about the alternator, I manage a branch for an auto elect. supply company, would have been happy to have helped you out if I knew!!
ps, make sure your power steering pumps not leaking into the alt. or you may be needing another one sooner rather than later..

Cheers
