Congratulations to Cookie winner of COTM march 2008.
I spoke to him about his most recent win and he is very pleased and surprised with the result.
First and formost he would like to thank CHE47,BRIBBIE and 53ANO for a good competion, he is honoured to be held in the same class as these great cars.
Second he would like to thank all those who voted for his car, it's good to see he is not the only one who enjoys the sight of his car.
Cookie got his VY SS II in november 2007, On purchase it already had the 20" rims on it and had been lowered.Since then Cookie has indulged the car with many goodies, first came the twin 2 1/2 inch exhaust and high flow cats, shortly after followed some di fillipo 4-1 extractors, cai and a mafless tune making 232rwkw from brisbane's own Power Torque Engines.Then a small cosmetic mod with the arrival of a set of LS1 engine covers which he purchased second hand and rubbed back and got them resprayed black and red to suit the phantom mica paint that gives his ride it's appeal and to match the red leather interior.
From there Cookie set about finding a Commodore Club to call his home,on his first cruise with BCCC on the 27 jan cruise to the dam, he took out the BEST ALLROUND COMMODORE AND PEOPLE'S CHOICE COMMODORE and the next day became a member and has never looked back.
The next set of mods came when his girlfriend approved the purchase of a 222/224@112 Comp Cam and Valve Springs, Mpc Performance Clutch Lightened Billet Flywheel and a set of 3.9 Diff Gears bringing the car upto a respectable 264rwkw(also performed by Power Torque Engines).The time came for another cruise for the fingle head trip where to his surprise he backed up his BEST ALLROUND COMMODORE title.
Cookie has many more mods he wishes to complete all in good time.
Cookie would also like to thank the members of BCCC who have helped him along the way with advise for modding his car.
