Virgina Repco Car Show / Photo Cruise 24/7

Repco at virginia have invited us to put on a car show for them on the 24th of July. I would like to put on a good show for them, and hopefully it will result in future fundraising at Repco.

As a benefit to our members, Repco will personally organise for all members (assuming there is some sort of membership ID, be it a t-shirt, membership card etc.) present on the day to recieve trade pricing on all purchases, which ranges in discount % however is much better than standard retail pricing.

Also if things go well, they will offer us trade discount cards for our members, which are able to be used nation-wide.

Also, as ive been trying to organise a day to do some more pics, i figure this is a good way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. The plan is to put on a good show for repco, then we can go for a cruise and take some good pic's.

Parking
Repco has offered us 8 carparking spots, with heaps of parking on the grass out the front, I would prefer BCCC's "standout" cars to get the carpark spots.

Venue Facilitys
Toilets, water cooler and a small fridge for our use.

Food / Drink
There will be a sausage sizzle from the local lions club

From the show, we will head to eagle farm to a photo location. From there, we can head over to manly / fishermans island as some of you have requested photos over there, and finally we will head down to jacobs well and get some nice late afternoon shots down there.

Firstly, since I took on this role, I said I didn't care about old history. Let's worry about the future and move forward.

When Repco coontacted me to organise this we discussed having the very best show. It was a decision that both Ben and I made about putting our best cars on show.

Comments about going back to the old days will not be tolerated. It is neither helpful nor needed. If people are not interested in the future of BCCC then you are obviously in the wrong place.

I will see how things go Ben My car is heading back out to P/T tomorrow due to it having a balancer issue it sounds like there is a banchee under my bonnet at the monent lol. I hope to get it back tomorrow and if I do I will come down.:)

i just got back from holidays this morning to discover my vz had been stolen got a phone call this evening to say they have found it burnt out with a few other cars stolen at back of caboolture not gota do a insurance claim which is a pain in the ass itself wait for them to investigate find money for excess then find another bloody car so the wife can get her liscence

Darren in relation to the P/S problem i told you about, i think i found the problem haha, the pump shit itself halfway home and leaked out, pushing fluid over my headers, leaving a nice little smoke screen on sandgate road :headbang:

checked it out this morning, nothing serious really, just shreaded the bolt that holds in the line to the pump :sweating:, new bolt on an now works fine :bouncing:

Geese Ben I do need to get that front bumper fixed and race tape gone. The Harrop Tru Trac and 3.7 ratio diff and engine oil cooler goes back in this Friday along with a tune tweak to account for the new 3" sorst. I have a date with a few of the Gympie Skidpan guys at Qld Raceway for some sprints running on the circuit to test the old VE calais the next day - Saturday arvy.

Next project will be to fix the bumper so I can get out on a BEN photoshoot with the car in a presentable state.

Great to catch up with you, darren, ziggy and pete as well - haven't seen you buggers for ages. It's always a big effort for darren to travel so far for BC events - definate club commitment, goodonya mate!!

Wish I was there early enough to see all the cars in pristine presentation, the photos look like a very professional showing.
