Well, what a car, and what a win. Id like to say a big congrats to Mick for winning COTM for November 2007.
If you have seen this car, you will agree with me when i say WHAT A PIECE OF MACHINERY IT IS. Mick has built this VK up for use at his wedding which was about a month ago. Under the bonnet is a VN headed 308ci aussie V8, consisting of a harrop manifold, 750 double pumper carby with a few other goodies to get the old girl moving. And keeping all looking good with a set of custom rocker covers, a K&N filter (or 3) and alot of bling. Feeding the motor is a fuel cell in the boot, a pair of Holley blue fuel pumps thru 1/2" braided fuel lines and speedflow fitting. While keeping the spark alive is a full MSD ignition setup.
Behind the motor is a trimatic gearbox backed by a 3000rpm convertor, down to a spooled diff which i am usure of ratios. And keping it to the ground is a set of 16x7" VE persuit rims off a VE commodore. And helping everything breath is a set of extractors, and a custom twin 3" with x-pipe with a set of resinators out the back.
The interior has kept with the same theme (the TUFF theme) with a full Autometer dash, a roll cage, B&M shifter, and a set of VR clubsport front seats.
Mick hasnt had this thing out for a run down the black top yet, but he hopes to achieve a mid to low 12 with this setup with a 100-150hp shot of nitrous.
Overall, this is a very deserving car to win COTM, and im sure we havnt seen the last of it. In micks exact words, "The engine aint that tuff yet", so this means its time for him to strip it down and build it up all over again, but this time, bigger, better, and ALOT faster. Im sure i speak for everyone when i say i cant wait to see it mate.
So once again, congratulations to Mick for winning COTM for november 2007.
