that's no good Les....
sounds like a lot of money for the repair. There seems to be a small amount of damage to the radiator support panel, must be where the expense is
what are you going to do ? Does the insurance company give you first option on buying the car back if they total loss it ? At least if you take that option, you get some sort of payout and can get a cheaper quote somewhere to get the car repaired. Might even get away with just a gaurd, grille, headlight, bumper

Hey Darren the radiator support panel is fine just needs the other bits, which I priced through work at a grand total of about $400 so may just fix it myself or take the payout and buy something else unsure yet. :hit head:

You could request a cash settlement on the cost of an adjusted quote. If the radiator support is not damaged Les I really do not see $2200.00 in it parts are cheap for these things now so I would be going to get another quote mate if you decide you want to keep it.
heres part of what they reckon
Repair & Align Units Amount
1. STONE TRAY 6.00 150.00
2. R/H FRT GUARD 9.00 225.00
TOTAL 15.00 @ 25.00 $375.00
Refinish Units Amount
1. FRT BAR 3.00 171.00
2. GRILLE 1.50 85.50
3. STONETRAY 2.20 125.40
4. R/H FRT GUARD 2.50 142.50
5. BLEND R/H FRT DOOR 1.50 85.50
6. MIX & MATCH 2 COLOURS 1.20 68.40
TOTAL 11.90 @ 57.00 $678.30
TOTAL LABOUR 38.80 $1,350.80
parts are the cheapest bit, with only 184 k on the clock & 2 other owners it's to good to get rid of but I just don't have the time to fix it. :puddle:

the money grabber will be the V6 auto conversion
Les - if it has a RWC with no rego, chuck $3500 on it, no RWC no rego put $3000 on it, RWC and rego chuck $4000 on it, hard to say really without looking over it, it looks pretty clean in pics, and the V6 conversion will be the sale point of it, but other things can come into it as well like mags, tyres, interior, body condition ( ok so you have a roo mark on it but lol eh, replace the parts an no one will be the wiser ), suspension and so on and so forth
If i was to sell it at the car yard i used to work at i'd chuck $4800 on it no problems at all simply because of the V6 in the VK
