First of all congrats to Gav on winning COTM, and what a bloody awesome weapon PUMPED is.

As with most cars, there is a story behind it. After spending a heap of time and money building up PUMPED Mk 1, it was unfortunately involved in an accident and was subsequently written off. Not one to be deterred, Gav bought the car back, stripped all the goodies off it, and transferred them into what we see before us , PUMPED Mk 2. In my opinion, Mk2 is defiantly more improved.

Starting off with a VT11 R8 Clubby helps things, but the motor was out straight away. Nestled between the chassis rails now is still a LS1, but not just you standard HSV LS motor. This is one wild engine. A V8 sounds tuff as it is, but add a blower and you enter heaven. Air is ingested thru a over the radiator cold air induction, which makes its way straight to a PWR twin screw supercharger, pumping 10psi down the LS1’s throat, it makes more than enough boost. Aiding in keeping air intake temps down is a Air to Liquid intercooler. Ported and polished heads keep flow rate up, Performance valve springs, roller rockers and a double row timing chain also are fitted. A comp cams 224-230 cam has been fitted which gives it a nice healthy lump, not to mention signifigant gains in intake and exhaust cycles. Spent gases are sent on their way to the rear of the car via Di Fillipo 1 7/8 inch stainless headers, 3inch stainless Di Fillipo cats, twin 3 inch stainless steel Difillipo system. A upgraded fuel pump was need obviously to keep enough fuel up to this beast.

Powertorque performed most of the work on this, which is an obvious choice of workshop being LS engine gurus. Pumped received a custom 2bar mafless tune. All of this work culminated in a absolutely stonking 519rwhp or 387.4rwkw and a mountain of torque to boot.

Interior wise Gav was going to fit his custom white trim from his previous car, but decided that the factory clubby attire was good enough. Being full black leather with coulsen’s made the decision a tad easier. The clubby also has a factory fitted sunroof.

If the sound of a tuff v8 and boost ever bores Gav and his passengers, he has a comprehensive audio system to keep them occupied. This consists of an Eclipse CD/DVD/MP3 Touch screen head unit, Eclipse 6" splits front, Eclipse 6" rear speakers,2 x Fusion 12" power plants which are powered by a Alpine digital amp.

Exterior enhancements also are aplenty on PUMPED Mk2. Starting with the deletion of the rear wing it looks a million times better. VX Calais tail lights, garnish and garnish chrome strip were also fitted. A VT Senator chrome grill was fitted up front, along with Monaro headlights. Mirrors were replaced with M3 items, and the whole car was debadged.

Suspension also came in for some enhancement, with Pedders Sports Ryder Shocks rear and Pedders springs all round, and Poly air bags in rear. Rolling stock can make or break a car, and Gav fitted PUMPED with 20" Dirty Dogs which are absolutely brilliant. But these have just come in for replacement, with the car now rolling on a new set of rims which make it even better. Its just ogne in for a interior retrim so will be good to see how it looks at the upcoming CFC4!!!

Again Gav congrats mate, a well deserved winner and top notch ride.
