was an awesome day, really good to see a good turnout from BCCC.
Let's aim for the same sort of numbers that the XR club had today :thumbs up:

I don't think I've ever been on such a well organised cruise/day, big thumbs up to Adam, Shane for all the hard work you guys put in, and the XR Club for all the efforts put into the organisation & catering. Cheers guys, hope there's plenty more of these combined events in the future. Some really good comradeship between the red & the blue. I was proud to be part of it

I've got a few photos as well, I'll post them up later. I'm buggered right now, left home at 6am this morning and got home about 6pm - 550kms all up...

I would also like to thank Adam and the Ford boys for a great day. Got to meet some of you at last. Didn't get around as much as I would have liked as my Mrs actually came with me for once and didn't like to just walk off and leave her to bullshit to people about cars.


Very well organised day and the effort and time is much appreciated by myself and I'm sure others.

Would like to in the future get a bit more involved (where possible) to maybe take some of the work load off others.

Ben great pics!!! realise now need to paint the VZ a different colour as white is even more boring than I thought.

the clunking noise disappeared as soon as I left the BP at Morayfield Pete.
It never came back. So not sure what it was at this stage, all I know is that it sounded terminal when I arrived..... So although the noise has disappeared, it's left me with a rather unsettling feeling.

I'll jack the back up this weekend and remove the rear rotors and see if one of the handbrake shoes came adrift. They can make some horrible noises when the anchor pins break and the shoes start grabbing on the inside of the disc rotor.

yeh i hate it when you hear a noise and know for a fact that something is wrong, then it all of sudden disapears lol it scares me lol, might be worth checking the crown and spider in the diff as well, the LSD in my VN made what i think is the same noise your talking about and i ignored it ( end result was me on the highway 180k from brisbane with a buggered diff a few days later lol )

scary thing i found today... just as i was coming home from cruising on sunday i noticed a strange noise from the back end of mine..... turns out all 4 bolts on the drive shaft came loose!!! finger tight

Well, what can we say? It was an awesome day with our new found friends from the Brisbane Commodore Car Club. With the two clubs combined we had 56 cars in total. With both clubs on the road we certainly made our presence felt and we certainly got a lot of admiring looks. The weather, well we couldn’t have asked for better. The sun shined brightly for us all today.

To all the members of both clubs who came out to support the day, thanks very much, we hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as what we did and we certainly look forward to the next combined cruise.

As for the money that has been raised to go to Tasha, we have had a better than expected result. Both clubs can be very proud. We have done extremely well. The level of generosity displayed by the clubbies from both clubs has been outstanding. Top effort everyone. Give yourselves a pat on the back.

Between both clubs we have raised an amazing $1,500.00 for Tasha.

On a personal note we would like to thank Adam (President of BCCC) for all his hard effort in putting together such a great raffle.

We would like to make a special mention of two people you have been extremely generous.

1. Peter Dickson (XR6 & XR8 Club of Qld). Peter donated a whopping $500.00 to Tasha. Thanks Peter. Your generous donation totally blew us away.

2. Nick Trovato (Ziggy’s OTR’s). Nick donated $100.00. Thanks Nick for your generous donation.

We have spoken to Tasha’s Mum, Renee tonight to let her know how much money the two clubs raised today. She was totally gobsmacked and extremely grateful to both clubs. With the family needing to find $11,500.00 within the next month to be able to get Tasha to China for her medical treatment by the beginning of September the money that we have raised today will certainly go a long way.

We would like to give a big thank you to Dan from Bowden’s and George from the Motorsport Superstore for generously providing the prizes that was given out today.

We would also like to thank Meguiars and the other sponsors from the BCCC who supported the event as well.
