Congrats to ant with the buildup of his Sly VT. I myself remmeber seeing this car at the usual cruise spots throughtout its build up. From what he has acheived from start to now,(i would say finsh, but come on, cars are NEVER finished lol) im sure everyone will agree it is an absolutly awesome machine.

Starting off with a 99 model S, series 2 was a great base to begin with. Combine this with the underestimated supercharged v6 and you already have a potent combo waiting to be unleashed.
The first thing that strikes you is the brilliant paintwork. Draped over the curvaceious Vt body is a custom purple hue. Complementing this is the standard "s" bodykit, as well as the addition of a Z series monaro bonnet, which just screams tuff in this humble scribes opinion. Other body mods which make SlyVT more aesthetically pleasing include clear tail lights, chrome grills, rear wing removed(very good mod!!!) and a dark tint job.

As said before, this beast is powered by the L67 supercharged V6. Mods so far to the engine include FIT 1.97 rockersm a 17psi pulley upgrade for the blower and a 600*300*76 Intercooler, to keep those all important intake temps down. Sending waste gases south are Pacemaker headers into a full
3"exhaust system. This combined with a tune by Bayside Performance Services has netted Ant a very respectable 270rwhp!!!

Obviously with this kind of power you cant put it all to the ground with a stock driveline, and so the gearbox is the trusty auto, fully rebuilt with stronger internals and a stage 2 shift kit. Final drive comes courtesy of a LSD fitted with 3.46 gears for a nice solid launch.

But whats the good of being able to go fast but not stop or handle??No good, hence why the Vt is fitted with a HSV Performance Brake package, with 330mm rotors up front and 315mm out back. When it needs to im sure this puppy stops on a dime. The VT has been dropped much closer to mother earth courtesy of King Springs. Rolling on a set of 19" Alba Banks, the VT really does scream "sex on wheels"

Aural please comes courtesy of mainly Alpine gear as well as pioneer. The IVA-D310E sets the centre stage, with alpine splits, pioneer rear speakers, alpine amp and a 12" sub completing the picture.

To get to the stage where its at now has taken Ant 2-3 years. Im sure we can all apreciate the work and money he has poured into it!!

Next on his list of things to do is to upgrade the interior and the stereo, like i said, a car is never done!!!

COngrats mate on a very tuff v6, enough grunt to scare quite alot of ricers and v8 fellas, and hopefully you have some luck and can get her out to willowbank!!
