A HUGE THANKS to Voodoo, Big Jim, Moffy and a bucketload of others who helped get me back on the road when I blew the begeesus out of the first L98 engine in the VE. Also a massive thank you to Big Sean who tuned the engine for me after the new one went in - same for James at BEST Performance for allowing Sean to use the dyno on the weekend in question. I will never ever forget your generosity and the kindness of everyone involved. :)

In a nutshell, I was going to be totally buggered except for their support, friendship, comerarderie and actions taken to support me. I was and am very humbled by the experience...

over the years I have spent many thousands of dollars on cars. in all cases my money has been the right colour. in a lot of cases the work done on my car has been of a poor quality and has had to be done again. my thanks go to james and his workers at b.e.s.t. The good work they did on my clubsport means that I have booked the car in for a tune and a service and will continue to use them for any future work.

Might as well say thanks to Big Jim for standing there shouting orders all weekend at me while sitting in his engine bay drinking Johnnies :p

Oh yea and we did my ECU relocation as well....

I wish to thank the good Lord for giving me the patience to put up with NZShakers crap all weekend. It took me twice as long as it should of with Shakers help and the cost of johnny walkers was enormous. :D:D:D. Somehow we still did manage to relocate the battery to the boot and got it working and relocated the PCM inside the GTO. Now to running the fuel system next weekend. And maybe installing a new fuel pump in Shakers ute.

Want to give a massive thanks to Michael from Hank's Body Works for fitting my Walkinshaw Bonnet Scoop.

Michale is a mate but is very particular about getting things right. Most VE owners who have seen a Walkinshaw scoop will know there is a little issue with the 'ears' of the scoop and how they fit across the crease in the bonnet. I dropped the car off and Michael dropped me at the station. Waited for the train got on and headed to town. Get a phonecall from him telling me to get off as he thinks there is a problem.

I told him I knew about the fitment over the crease issue but he said he wanted to show me and make sure I was happy. He picked me up and took me back to the shed and showed me. It was what I thought it was but he wanted to be sure. Not just fit and then me go back to pick it up and complain it was all wrong.

This was his first of these. They generally fit shakers etc in new Falcons but he has done a teriffic job. He blocked it up quite a bit because the fibreglass wasn't perfect and the result is noticeable. It is very straight.

Michael is also the one who painted my wheels and engine covers.

I can fully recommend him if you want any work done.

Ha, that just made me the far forward "scout" for potential hazzards in a few sections; leaving you (Paul) as the actual lead car of the cruise lol. My new suspension combo and Tru Track LSD seems to be doing the trick, but needs a tad heavier coilover spring rate to fully suite my liking.

Sheizzers it was a fun day with all the flooded bridges, a coupla mud/land slides and re-routing things to finally end up at the destination. Fantastic bunch of people along. Its definately one of my more memorable cruises.

Lotsa work in organising it all Paul. A sincere thanks to you for taking the time to make it a memorable ocasion. :)

Yuppers a millimeter or five was all that seemed to be in between our cars kissing when we had to abruptly turn around at the flooded bridge. It was ohh so close, just doin a what seemed like a normal yet reactionary u turn at the timel ol. A big whoopsies!! Somehow it really tickled my funnybone and I kakked laughin when it was happening - one of life's "Minties" moments I rekken.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to Darren at Just Commodore Spares.

Now these guys are in Adelaide. I talked on and off all week with him organising a VE HSV part and when I finally put the order through on Monday, the package arrived the next day.

Dont let the location put you off. They have heaps of stuff and he said they are getting through more and more VE cars including HSV's. The also stock obviously all the other commodore stuff.

Check 'em out. www.justcommodorespares.com.au

Interesting. A Thank You Thread. A good idea I think too. Also interesting is the fact that the thank you's stopped coming in 21/8/2010? What happened? Did people stop becoming worthy of being thanked in the club? Lol
Well let me start thanking again. When I organized the fun cruise I really appreciated the way Carbon (Adam) got in and supported the event and supplied us with the drinks and food and then went one better and also came along with lucky prizes to raffle off. Well done Adam so a BIG THANKS!

Andrew

P.S. Also a thank you to everyone who supported the event simply by coming along even though the weather was so miserable. It would have been easy to just not bother and stay home so hats off to all who showed up and especially a thanks to VEWARRIOR (Glenn) for offering his home to keep us dry after the cruise so we could eat.

Andrew thanks for the kind words. I am glad people had a good time and appreciate it.

But really, thanks must go to you mate. I think you really have kickstarted some more enthusiasm into the club. I think we were probably only weeks away from BCCC being no more. Now we have very bright outlook.

Well done mate
