looks good mandid you notice much of a change in rwhp with the 12mm MACE spacer?

Thanks for the comments guys....
I can't tell if it's changed the rwhp as I haven't got a recent dyno done, but, its definately got more pickup on light throttle and more torque in general just from the spacer.

lol, thanks man..

I added some more lighting and am still fiddling with it... Updated my site - pics added, but the main reason for this post is I got the car booked into Holden on Dec 29th to diagnose the mystery gear shifting problem that has stumped 2 reputable gearbox specialists. We shall see how this goes.....

Just got back from Holden....

2 transmission specialists and Holden... Stumped. I still got the problem.

1. I told them the part number lists my 4L65E to suit a 2004 VY Crewman, he said that the power and torque curves for the crewman are different which will effect operation in my vehicle.

2. There is a chip? next to the ecu? that stores engine and gearbox ID codes specific to the vehicle when it comes from the factory, the mismatch could be causing computer communication problems between ECU and Gearbox based on the power/torque curves listed for the original 4L60E gearbox.

3. When I showed him what it does he also mentioned it was like it was dumping all the line pressure which backed off the power/torque delivered to the gearbox as it detected an abusive condition.... which doesn't exist - no fault codes logged.

Looks like the fix is to change it back to 4L60E.

For Sale
