V8 Supercars Car Display -Ipswich 300

Hi Guys,

I have been in touch with the XR Owners Club and they are putting on display at the V8s this year and have asked BCCC if we would like to join them. I have said that we would love to.

We need about 10 cars to make a commitment for the Saturday OR Sunday OR BOTH! (Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of May). I need to know ASAP.

On a side note V8 Supercars have offered the Club a 10% discount on the 3 day passes. The price is $90.

Seeings as there isn't alot of interest for both days, Ill throw is open to attend on either or both days. You are required to have general admission tickets for the days you want to attend.

You will need a general admission pass for the day/days your attending.

Corey, So, in regards to ticket and car pass allocations, i am assuming that due to me only coming on the sunday i get my ticket through ticketek and that sorts me for the general admin ticket.

A good day was had by all that attended , except for the guys under the mini,, We missed the beginning of the accident but I saw it about 10 ft off the ground heading for the crowd.. 2 people injured , I thought they were stuffed but they just said on the radio, no severe injuries .. Lucky boys.

Another great day , thanks to all the guys that attended ( myself & Belinda enjoyed the 2 days , especially walking 15ft to the car and driving straight out of the complex on both days. We have been the poor mongrels walking 2km through the heat to the dusty car park & watching cars drive straight past us, wondering why those pricks were so special.. well for the last 2 days we were special and loved it )

It was great to see everyone.. I had a really good time. good to get out and have alook around the retaily area but the most fun being in the Pit areas. Thanks heaps for getting us into the HRT pits to have a look around and question time.. I noticed Corey didnt ask the Question that he was meant to... lol i know why Corey.
And a really big thanks to the XR club for being so accomodating. Breakfast as well as just being a great bunch of guys..
Will definatly do this again. Cant wait.
Will post up any pics i have when i can..

If the walk wasn't bad enough just to get in, us plebs had absolutely no shade. I pulled up a rubbish bin at one stage and used it as some semblence of shade, sheesh it was hot and I'm fried and dehydrated. I didn't get out there till mid morning; and what a dodgy route home, took me two and a half hours..

Thats not good. Should have come out today.. Had Shade, over on the opposite side to the pits and had a good bunch of guys to talk to. But yes i do know what your talking about. When we went over to the other side it was stinkin hot and i think the only cooler ones would have been the promo girls in their next to nothing clothing..:)
And yes it was an absolute dream having our cars behind us so we just jumped in and were out in 10-15min if that.. Sorry pete for telling you that :)

Yeh I will learn for next time. That was a mass of top notch cars both Ford and Holden on the back straight hill.

I really enjoyed the event anyways, stayed to the last race of the day.

Its absolutely fantastic to see multi clubs participating and having fun together. Well done!

Thanks again for helping us organise a 'display' at the V8's. I wont deny that I am very jealous that I missed out but am very happy of the display that the guys put on. Congrats everyone.

I too am very pleased we are getting on as two clubs together and am very much looking forward to not only the track day in 10 days but our joint cruise/barbie up the northern coast.
