Just speaking to a mate ( mechanic ) and he said he had to do a survey today for a bunch of scientists at QUT or somethin like that, the lady that was handling the survey said that 82% of males who's main hobby are cars and an abundance of tools.

So i put this question to all of you, What tools do you have?

i have -

- 8 complete socket sets up to an including 35mm ( 3 imperial, 3 metric, 1 set of British sockets << dont ask lol, all 1/4 inch/1/2 inch and thoes lil fuggers that always break lol)

- 12 complete screwdriver sets
- 8 complete spanner set ( 4 imperial, 4 metric )
- 7 hammers, ranging from a wooden mallet, bertha ( hehe my mini sledge hammer), rubber mallet, ball pien, 2 claws, small show hammer

i couldnt tell u whats in my tool box,

it started with a $1000 207 pc set of SP tools from repco, and added an extra 2G to it,
i needed them when i was working at QMR, but i dont use them as much as i used to at my new work.

I don't know how many tools I have, not as many as some. Always seem to have the right tool when I need it. I bought a socket set in about 1975. Imperial, metric and whitworth. I lent it to a workmate in 1976, he lost the 1/2 socket which he replaced. Apart from the occasional replacement of the rachet it is original. My days of working on a car for half the night are well and truly over.
