I have taken this from the Street Commodores Forum from Marty as the start for our involvement in this event.

here are the prepay details.

Hi People,

remember if you intend to enter either:

Cruise sessions
Burnouts
Heads up sprints
Show and shine

cruise session - cs (limit of 1session per car)

Entrants for the Burnouts and Heads up sprints will need the following:

Please note, by paying the entry fee you are agreeing to the conditions of entry for the Street Commodores Cruise for Charity 7, Queensland.

including:
no alcohol is allowed on the cruise or in the venue
no intoxicated drivers allowed to enter the cruise or venue.
no burnouts either on the cruise or at the venue unless as an entrant during the burnout comp.

***EVENT COSTS***

PLEASE BE AWARE, EVENT ENTRY IS BY PRE PAY ONLY

CRUISE ENTRY: $35

Cruising on track - $10 (20min session)

Dyno - $30 (includes 3 runs and a dyno printout)
Show and Shine - FREE (all show and shine must pre pay to secure a position)
Sound Off - (to be finalised)

all events will have a limited number of entrants

My bank didn't let me do a long description for what I wanted to do so I used:
A Bonsall AJB74 as my description but sent Marty (boosted) a note saying it was actually A Bonsall AJB74 HUS CS.

We will be having our Club general meeting in the next couple of weeks which I would ask everyone to do the hardest to attend. We will broaching a number of subjects including what people want to see in the C4C display/setup. Please start writing down any ideas you have for the event.

I have asked Marty if it is sufficient for our members to indicate in this thread what their intentions are. For the moment, please prepay at your earliest convenience and put you details in a post below.

Cheers

Adam

ok for the dummies out there ( well..me lol ) if where entering in no events ( cruise, burnouts ect ect ) and just want to park with the club, do we prepay? and what do we put as the description for it?

Carbon
12-04-2010, 10:35 AM
From the way I understand it,

The cruise is a charity thing anyway. To do Cruise for Charity it is $35 either way. That includes you being allowed to park with the club and have the car entered under show and shine.

If it is anything like last year, only prepaid where actually allowed to park within a club area.

Hopefully Boosted will see this post and confirm or correct me if I am wrong.

There are details on the street commodores forum. Here is one link

Also, please Pre-Pay to Boosted at your earliest possible time. We need to make sure we have gotten the maximum number of BCCC people attending.

cheers

PS. read ya PM's :p

Carbon

Yes, the question was asked on SC already.

C4C is held to raise funds for a good cause. The money you pre-pay is your entry into C4C, the cruise and the Show and Shine.

The only extra money needed to be paid is if you are doing things such as sprints, burnouts etc.

So if our members simply want to cruise and park with the club. That's great. It's $35 for you and includes one passenger. Other passengers are $10.

If there are other questions dont hesitate to ask

sorry I havnt replid arlier, there was a problem with me being ablee to post.

to answer your question, yes prepaid is the only way to be able to park with the club, with the desription just add BCC.

you will need to pre pay to park with the club, and no it will not be part of the show and shine.

But if I am honest, it annoys me that they are always down at that Servo. Couldn't they be mixed up.

Yes, I did know this but, and no offence, but I think it's ridiculous that's always down there. Its a C4C7 Qld event. Shouldn't that mean it is varied as far as where it is.

Just my take on it

Just my personal opinion but, I take it that Boosted is looking after the Brisbane end this year one more time . I can shoot you his contacts if needed. I haven't followed C4C at all as I won't be there this year. I am still a formal "moderator" on Street Commodores who are those that run these gigs.

Seems the same every year, lots and lotsa meetings but sometimes the communication loop misses some thing, from what I have observed and participaed in these planning and actions sort themselves out toculminate a spectacular event every time. I'm sure Renee Le Burse will be part of it for the current club she is with (as she has across the past three years).

I wouldn't put too much angst on Fabtech'd Vy (Dave's) inuendo that he has info that BC does not and that our folk are behind the current happenings, hence win/lose orientation which is typical. Who cares, it's just a bait, the C4C event will go ahead regardless. Same as Phoenix Lights not getting numbers to even pay for itself - not that I would ever be going to that one, but who cares - just keep "bumping" on forums across Aus and all will be good Fabtech'd Vy I'm sure someone will reply sooner or later .

Sorry Pete but what are you on about??

This year every club has a roll to play in the organisation of C4C with running a meeting point and cruise. Hence the need for members from every club to get along to the meetings. There is no club rivialry or bullshit poletics here its about working as a team and as a whole of Qld based clubs to organise yet again another successful day.

If people want info on meetings and whay I am more then happy to let them know when and where. As Adam stated he new about it but the others did not.

Dave, I knew about it but it was just too difficult to get to this week. I am still of the opinion that the meeting should be at varied locations. What is the idea behind having it at Coomera? Why could it not be there one month, Nudgee another, Yatala another.......

Anyway, can you please PM me the outcomes of this meeting. I need to get together with Marty in regards to our meeting point.

there are 2 reasons that I keep the same venue:

1. by keeping the same venue for the meeting means there is no confusion on where the meeting is on at any particular time, the same reason we keep the date the same for each meeting ie the last friday, of each month, this way noone forgets the date.

2. I have a small crew of staff I know will be at every meeting no matter what, and those staff members and I live in the area, so we make it there, we have tried in past years to move the venue to 'other' locations to suit other people, and these people dont always turn up, wasting our time driving there for the meeting, hence why I have the meeting close to the area where my staff and I live.

if a club member is not able to make it to a meeting, they may need to contact a replacement member to come in thier place, as I understand things do come up ie work.

ps meetings are now on a saturday night, and have changed to fortnightly with the next meeting to be on Saturday, June 12.

Ben
03-06-2010, 12:41 AM
fortnightly meetings....... i wont be able to make many of these. it will cost me an arm and a leg to drive from caboolture to coomera every fortnight... $45 fuel, $6 tolls, twice a month for 3 months, $300 out of my pocket before i even pay the $30 odd to cruise at C4C.

Carbon
03-06-2010, 06:59 AM
Not very constructive Ben.

Marty I understand now why you do. But to be honest mate, your post suggests that yourself and your staff are the ones that run this event I question my actual presence required.

As you know I have been trying to organise this southside meeting area and I do know I still need to meet with you at the location. I have also been trying to get you "prizes" for the auction etc. My involvement is still 100% but unfortunately I simply cant make it to meetings down at Coomera.

I/we are very grateful for the effort you and your staff put in to making the event run smoothly. But I cant really say that I have seen any 'major' discussions or posts made on either here or SC about the result of the meetings. Is this because none of our members attended?

boosted
03-06-2010, 09:09 AM
I do understand if you can not make it to meetings, in this case if you let me know, I can organise a sit down with you to go thru any updates on both sides, for a 1 on 1 meeting so to say, I will meet in a central location, I will pm you my contact number.

Ben the meetings are changed to fortnightly at this time each year as there are only 2 months left till the event and this is the stage that requires the most organisation, and as such come july meetings will become weekly.
