^ Are you talking about on a turbo'd or supercharged engine or just a stock 5ltr?

tell him i wouldn't waste his time lol u will be looking at around 1000-1500 to do a alloy intercooler setup + the restriction on the air having to flow through so much pipe i dont think it would be worth it at all

If your talking about an otrcai like the ls1 and on have yes it can be done.It would mean chopping the front off the manifold and machining it and rewelding it to face the front. Is it worth it, who knows.

I was going to say the same thing as above its a complete waste of time on a stock 5 litre however, i have just helped a mate do a double skinned cold air induction box in which he puts dry ice into so that the air going into the intake plenum is cold. I dont think its going to work though (he has weird ideas sometimes). The only other way to cool the intake temperature is to place dry ice or bags of ice onto the top of the intake plenum cover to drop the temps down but thats only for BIG HP motors not a stocker or you could install a fuel can in which you can place dry ice into in which the fule line runs through this stops vaporisation and fuel lock plus keeps the fuel cold which helps in hp gains a little over the top for stocker though

Yeah definately a waste of time in that case. Depending on what he wants to spend and whats already done he would be better off with a cam and chip package or a set of diff gears etc.
