i think i have a sick auto on my hands (4L60E), hit 85kph ( when the torque converter locks in )and i get an intermediate vibration, and it gets faster as i get up to about 100kph, 110kph and its gone, should i be worried?

buy a proper gearbox - a manual :D
not really good news I'm afraid....
from memory, it's usually a stuffed front bush on the pump at the front of the auto. No easy fixes. Auto out, remove pump and rebush

Sounds more like your driving a boat... lol
Gearbox mount? Id just drive the fricken thing until something shits itself. Old cars have their oil leaks, vibrations, rattles etc. Just ignore em unless its engine mount, they have a tendancy for the motors too hit on the bonnet.

darren replied first, and what he says is pretty much whats iv been reading, the gearbox mount is buggered ( get a real bad vibration in it when in drive an idling ) but this pretty much feels like an internal transmission problem

Drive it till it stops :P or just go a 2nd hand auto.
I would usually agree with darren and say go manual for sure! but after my mission of a thing that still isn't complete, i never want to see another manual again.
