got a noobie question for yas

when comming off full lock ( like comming out of a u-turn) i get a shudder out of the steering, have had a look underneath, left boot has a slight leak, pump has a slight leak but nothing major, havnt had to top up the P/S fluid since i got the car, when jacked up theres no shudder ( so im guessing its weight/presure related ) so im guessing its internal

am i up for a new rack or what?

it's usually a sign of cavitation in the pump - fairly common, nothing to be overly concerned about. Could be just a bit of wear. Have you changed the fluid for a while ?

try draining & replacing the fluid and put some of that Nulon powersteering additive in the mix.

cool, was planning on doing a flush and refil with the nulon stuff, and putting in a P/S fluid filter ( pedders sell them ), shall see if this fixes the problem :) thanks darren :)
