they look ok mate but i have always been a bit dubious of them as they are reasonably big and i have always been worried that they may break off if hit by something hard on the road etc which means no damn oil at all in the engine the jury is out on that one

I have never heard of them before. To me it's just a gimmick. Be a bit of a bugger if it in any way leaked. Would be impossible to sue the company if their product didn't work. Changing of the oil is not that messy or something that is done that often.

a mate used this once on his mazda, and only once, when the oil got old and he went to do an oil change even with the oil warm he found it ran out slow so he took it off lol

Good Idea I guess if you have a race engine and swapping oil regularly, normal car that just gets serviced I wouldn't bother with but then weather or not you would trust it or not on a race engine is another story.

I personally wouldn't fit one because as pvk308 said id be worried about something hitting it, I have a High-Energy sump and it sits exactly level with the bottom of the cross-member as it is now, a trolley jack could easily hit it when i go to jack the car up or could hit on the car trailer etc. Thats just my situation / opinion.

I'd think a magnetic plug would be a better investment...
