Just a few Happy Snaps of last weekends fishin trip - a two day Saturday/Sunday overnighter. I have 92 photos but have tried to keep it minimal. Big Wind, Lotsa Rain and Howling Winds for most of it. An absolutely "Superb" time with close friends, I actually had wobbly sea legs for hours after getting back to dry land despite the Stabilisers on the boat being deployed for much of the time.
The skipper got his hand caught in the sharks mouth that I caught at 4am. My fault as I wanted to weigh the stupid thing. Took ages to get his hand out as the wobbygong's have really sharp backwards facing teeth - and it just wouldn't let go of my mates hand despite using two separate gaff handles for leverage to pry the jaws open. Hmm, thats not shark blood on the deck in the last pic.
Oh well they breed em tough up north. After dislodgeing Damos hand from the shark, it was a few band-aids and rags around the hand, then back to the drinking and fishin lol. He did end up at the Hospital Sunday evening getting it all sorted professionally.
Hell there must be some big fish at that location. I was using live bait with 65 pound braid line and 50 pound leader and got busted off heaps. Was good fun, and yeh my back and shoulders are still acheing, but not a lot of fish actually hit the deck
