Well well well, First of all congrats to Chris and winning Febrauary Car of The Month.
The good old Silver VR has been a work of sweat and tears for this member. Not one to let things get him down, Chris has persisted through the problems and has come through with one awesome beast.
Starting at the heart of the matter, the VR is powered by the venerable Holden 5 litre V8. No matter what anyone says, yo still cannot beat the sound of a Aussie V8 and this one does not dissapoint. Just recently added was a full exhaust system, comprising of pacemaker extractors into 2.5" system with a Lukey muffler which i am led to belive sounds just sensational.
The motor has been fuly stripped down, rebuilt and the motor tickled just enough to keep that smile on The Fatmans face. Backing up the power and sending it to the rear end is a fully rebuilt automatic transmission.
What makes onlookers stand up and take note isnt just that magical sound emitting from the rear of the vehicle, its the look of the exterior(plus the handsome bloke inside :P ). Starting with silver paintwork, the smooth lines of this VR are complemented by a full VS Senator bodykit. Making the ride drop closer to earth is a full complement of Pedders Sports Ryder suspension all round, which bring the body down over those 17" VT Clubsport rims perfectly for that much sought after street prescence.
Making the time inside this beast more comfortable is a complete VS SS interior transformation, and aural desires are taking care courtesy of Pioneer. A few custom pieces make up the rest of this awesome piece of machinery.
Future modifications which Chris intends to perform on the VR include, in his order of preference:
XR8 Bonnet bulge, Upgraded Stereo, New 18' wheels and a Supercharger.
I for one cannot wait for the rest of these mods to be complete, but for now we can all enjoy the hard work and determination Chris has put into her already.
And to quote straight from the owners mouth "She's a pain in the ass but i love her to bits....." Damn straight bud
